A friend and I decided to reminisce last night and pop on one of the greatest Genesis games ever…Toe Jam and Earl. While we were playing it we saying things like, “So this is Earth that these aliens are trapped on? It would be cool if Earth was really like this.”
In the game there is a series of twenty-five levels, twenty-six if you count the hidden “Level 0″ that is hidden in the corner of the first level. Each level is a mass of land suspended in mid-air. You take an elevator to get up to the next level, and if you fall off the edge or are pushed off, you fall back to the previous level.
What if instead of continents, we had twenty-six land masses stacked on top of each other and if you wanted to visit another area all you would have to do is fall off the side and bounce down to the lower level. This would make travel much easier if you wanted to see other parts of the world.
I have always wanted to see Japan. It would be awesome if I could fall over the side of the world and land in the center of Japan. The when I wanted to go home, I could just take the elevator back. Going home would be as easy as going to the second floor at Sears. Awesome!
