Riddle me this… Why did they put Hayden Christensen at the end of Return of the Jedi? This makes absolutely no sense. Why would he look young when Obi Wan looks old. Wouldn’t Ewan McGregor make more sense since when you die you apparently lose about twenty to thirty years? Maybe they should have included the crappy looking Yoda puppet from The Phantom Menace as well. Then all six movies would finally blend together in harmony.
Another thing, remember in Return of the Jedi when Luke asked Leia if she remembered her mother… her real mother? She said that she does a little, but she died when she was really young. Uh, yeah Padme died about one minute after giving birth to both Luke and Leia so Leia was very young… about a minute old. Remember all of the “images and feelings” that you had when you were a minute old? Why must they do this? Why oh why did they have Darth Vader build C3P0 when he was a boy only to have his memory wiped at the end of Revenge of the Sith? We would have been quite happy not having 3P0 in the first two movies and maybe having him make an introduction at the end of the third one. And why was Chewbacca in Revenge of the Sith? It seems that Lucas was trying to blend the movies together using the poorest choices possible.
Anyway, I am getting a little off topic here. My main question is why would Anakin look young again at the end of Return of the Jedi? Why not keep the same older actor that was originally there? Man oh man sometimes I wonder what people are thinking when they make choices like this. If anyone has a decent explanation for why Anakin is young again besides to try to crappily blend the two trilogies together I would live to hear it because I was very unhappy the first time I saw this.
Maybe this will get fixed when Lucas decides to go back and redo the six movies again in the Special-Special editions in 2017 for the 40th anniversary editions.

I picture you (as Conan would make an impersonation of a nerd) in the audience at a Star Wars convention and saying this to George Lucas during the question part at the end of his appearance.
Buy me some glasses for my birthday.
Yeah, I don’t get the Anakin thing, HOWEVER! I think I understand why Leia remembers her mom… she has the force too, which is why she can remember the feelings and images. I think that is her manifestation of the force. Just an idea.
Ooh, that is a good answer about Leia!
about anakin……they kept him coz he was a major part of the episodes and youngsters would know him better than the oldie….
Obi Wan died at old age, as did Yoda, but Anakin “died” at that age. After that it was Darth Vader.
